Smart Cabinet is designed with your privacy as the foundation. Your personal data belongs to you, stays on your device, and is never sold or shared with advertisers.
All memories, categories, photos, and notes you create in Smart Cabinet are stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Your cabinet is yours.
Smart Cabinet requests access to your camera and photo library so you can attach photos to your memories. For example, you can photograph a receipt and save it to your Finances category, or select an existing photo of a prescription label to store in Health.
Photos are saved only in the app's private storage on your device and are never uploaded to any server unless you ask the AI a question that requires reading the photo (see AI Question Answering below).
When you ask the AI a question, the relevant memories needed to answer your question are temporarily sent to our secure processing server to generate your answer. If your question involves a photo — for example, "how much was this receipt?" — the photo is included in that request.
All data sent is used only to produce your response and is immediately discarded. It is never stored, logged, or used for any other purpose.
Smart Cabinet uses your microphone to let you speak questions to the AI and add new memories by voice. For example, you can ask "where is my passport?" or say "my car insurance renews in March" to save it automatically.
Voice is processed on-device by Apple's Speech Recognition framework (iOS SFSpeechRecognizer). Transcribed text may be sent to our server for AI processing — see AI Question Answering above. Apple's standard privacy terms apply to on-device speech processing.
When Smart Cabinet reads answers aloud, the text of the answer is sent to ElevenLabs to generate audio. ElevenLabs processes this text according to their privacy policy at elevenlabs.io/privacy. No personally identifiable information is included in text-to-speech requests.

Smart Cabinet is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
