Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Jeff Ai HQ LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("we", "us"). They cover the Junk Drawer mobile game and the web pages we run for it (together, "the game").

By installing or playing the game, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the game.

You must be 13 or older to play. The game is not directed at children under 13.

If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to play. A parent or guardian who lets a child under 13 play on the parent's own account accepts these terms for that child and is responsible for supervising everything the child does in the game and around the home while playing.

Junk Drawer asks you to find and photograph real objects. You handle those objects at your own risk.

• Be careful with anything sharp, hot, heavy, breakable, electrical or poisonous. That includes knives, scissors, tools, lighters, batteries, chemicals and medication.
• Do not open, climb, move or reach into anything that could hurt you in order to scan an item.
• Do not scan while driving, walking near traffic, or doing anything else that needs your attention.
• Only go through drawers, rooms and belongings you have permission to go through.
• Children should never handle dangerous items for the game. Supervising a child is the job of the adult responsible for that child.

A card in the game is not a statement that an object is safe to handle, use or keep. We are not responsible for injury, damage or loss that happens while you look for, handle or photograph items.

• Guest accounts. The game creates a guest account when you first open it. A guest account lives only on that device. If you delete the app, lose the device or switch to a different account, a guest account and everything in it cannot be recovered.
• Signing in. Signing in with Apple, Google or email lets you get back to your account on another device. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• One person, one account at a time. Do not create accounts in bulk, share an account, or sell or give an account to someone else.
• Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time from the Friends tab. Deletion is permanent. See the Privacy Policy for what is removed.

Scan ordinary household objects that you own or have permission to photograph. Do not scan people, faces, documents, mail, screens showing other people's content, or anything illegal, explicit or hateful. We may block a scan, hide a card or remove it if it breaks these rules.

An AI service decides what each item is and what its card looks like. It can be wrong. A card's name, stats, rarity and condition are part of a game. They are not an appraisal, an identification you can rely on, or advice about the real object or what it is worth.

Free accounts include a limited number of scans in total, and every account has a daily scan limit. Premium passes include their own scans (see section 07). The app shows how many scans you have left, and we may change these limits. A scan that fails because of a problem on our side is given back; a photo our content filter blocks still counts.

You keep any rights you have in the photos you take. You give us permission to store, process and send them to our service providers so the game can work, and to review them if a card is reported. Our Privacy Policy explains how long we keep them.

Cards, tokens, levels, streaks and everything else you collect in the game are part of the game. We give you a personal, limited permission to use them inside the game. You do not own them.

• They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, goods or anything outside the game.
• You may trade cards with other players only through the game's own trading features. Buying, selling or trading accounts or game items for real money is not allowed.
• We may change, rebalance, limit or remove any game item or feature, including a card's stats or rarity, to keep the game fair or working.
• A trade, a wager or a retired card cannot be undone once it is complete.
• Wagers use game cards only, never money. In a wager, the loser's staked card moves to the winner's drawer for good. The player who sent a wager or battle challenge can cancel it until the other player answers; a cancelled wager still counts toward that day's wager limit. An unanswered Quick Battle challenge to a friend ends after 7 days.
• Titles and trophies are earned by playing. The title you choose is shown to other players. We may rename, change or remove titles, trophies or their rewards, and remove any gained by breaking these terms.

• Premium is a 30-day pass that does not renew. Each pass gives Premium features for the period shown when you buy it. It does not renew by itself and you will not be charged again unless you buy another pass.
• Each pass includes a set number of scans, shown when you buy it (currently 100). Scans you have not used stay on your account and can be used whenever you have an active pass. They do not make a pass last longer, and they cannot be used without an active pass. Running out of scans does not end a pass early; you can buy another pass for more.
• Payment is handled by Apple or Google under their terms. The price is the one shown in the store at the time you buy.
• Refunds. All purchases are final, except where the law says otherwise. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We cannot issue store refunds ourselves.
• Premium follows the store account you bought it with. A pass is tied to the Apple or Google account used to buy it. If you delete your Junk Drawer account, any time left can be brought back on a new account with Restore purchases. If we close an account for breaking these terms, time left on a pass is not refunded.
• We may change what Premium includes or what it costs for future purchases. A pass you have already bought keeps running until it ends.

You agree not to:

• Use a username that is offensive, hateful, sexual, or that pretends to be someone else
• Cheat, or use bots, scripts, modified versions of the app or anything else that plays for you or gives an unfair advantage
• Scan pictures of screens, printed photos or the same item over and over to get around the game's limits
• Exploit a bug instead of reporting it
• Harass, threaten or bully other players
• Try to get into other players' accounts, our servers, or data that is not yours
• Copy, reverse engineer or interfere with the game or its servers
• Use the game for anything illegal

If we believe you have broken these rules, we may change your username, hide or remove cards, reverse trades or rewards, suspend your account, or close it. We decide this at our discretion and we do not owe a refund when we do.

You can report a card from its detail screen. Report anything else to hello@jeffaihq.com.

The game, its name, its characters, artwork, sounds, text and code belong to Jeff Ai HQ LLC or the people who licensed them to us. These terms give you permission to play the game for your own personal, non-commercial use. They do not give you any ownership of it.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.

We may change, pause or shut down the game or any part of it at any time. The game may be unavailable while we fix or update it. If we shut the game down for good, we will try to give notice in the app first.

You may stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that has not been used for a long time. When an account ends, your permission to use the game and its items ends with it.

The game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about it, express or implied. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not promise that the game will always work, be free of errors, or keep your data without loss, or that AI results will be accurate.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or lost game items.
• We are not liable for injury, property damage or loss that happens while you look for, handle or photograph real objects, or for what other players do.
• Our total liability to you for everything connected to the game is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars.

Some places do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or misused the game, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, including legal fees, as far as the law allows.

Ohio law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we cannot settle informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Trumbull County, Ohio, and you and we agree to those courts.

You got the game from Apple's App Store or Google Play, so their terms apply to you as well.

• These terms are between you and Jeff Ai HQ LLC, not Apple or Google. We, not they, are responsible for the game and its content.
• Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the game.
• If the game fails to meet a warranty that the law does not let us exclude, you may notify Apple for a refund of any purchase price paid through it. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the game.
• Apple and Google are not responsible for claims about the game, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
• You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

• Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
• If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given it up.
• Whole agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the game.
